Makassar — The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, conducted a program on the socialization of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work process identification on Friday, 19 September 2025. The activity was held at the General Lecture Hall (RKU), 3rd Floor, FKIK Unismuh, and attended by lecturers, administrative personnel, and representatives from various units.

This activity was organized by the FKIK Quality Assurance Unit as part of the continuous efforts to enhance institutional governance and strengthen quality assurance mechanisms. The event was formally inaugurated by the Dean of FKIK Unismuh, Prof. Dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K), who underscored the urgency of systematic SOP implementation within higher education institutions.

In her address, Prof. Suryani emphasized, “SOPs are not merely administrative documents; rather, they serve as essential guidelines to ensure that every process within the faculty is carried out consistently, transparently, and accountably.”

Following the opening, participants engaged in a session introducing the concept and implementation of SOPs. This was followed by an interactive discussion that provided participants with opportunities to deliberate on challenges, exchange experiences, and reflect on best practices in relation to their respective responsibilities.

The subsequent agenda focused on work process identification. In this session, facilitators and participants collaboratively mapped routine workflows across units and identified key constraints. The findings were expected to form the basis for comprehensive evaluation and systematic improvement of faculty operations.

After a scheduled intermission, participants were guided through the drafting of SOPs tailored to their respective areas of responsibility. The facilitators provided technical assistance to ensure that the documents complied with institutional quality standards and aligned with the broader framework of quality assurance in higher education.

Each group presented the outcomes of their SOP drafting during the concluding session. Constructive feedback and evaluative comments from facilitators further refined the drafts, preparing them for adoption in both academic and administrative domains of the faculty.

Through this initiative, FKIK Unismuh reiterated its institutional commitment to strengthening quality management systems. The structured implementation of SOPs is projected to significantly contribute to the enhancement of the quality of education, research, and community service delivered by the faculty.

Dorong Tata Kelola Transparan, FKIK Unismuh Laksanakan Penyusunan SOP

Makassar, Kompas — Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar menggelar kegiatan sosialisasi Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) dan identifikasi proses kerja, Jumat (19/9/2025). Acara berlangsung di Ruang Kuliah Umum (RKU) lantai 3 FKIK Unismuh dengan melibatkan dosen, tenaga kependidikan, serta perwakilan unit.

Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan oleh Gugus Kendali Mutu FKIK Unismuh sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan mutu tata kelola fakultas. Acara dibuka secara resmi oleh Dekan FKIK Unismuh, Prof. Dr. dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K), yang menekankan pentingnya penerapan SOP di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.

“SOP bukan sekadar dokumen administratif, tetapi pedoman kerja yang memastikan setiap proses di fakultas ini berjalan konsisten, transparan, dan akuntabel,” kata Prof. Suryani dalam sambutannya.

Setelah sesi pembukaan, peserta diajak mengikuti penjelasan mengenai konsep dan penerapan SOP. Narasumber kemudian memberikan pengantar sekaligus membuka ruang tanya jawab. Forum ini menjadi ajang interaktif bagi peserta untuk membahas tantangan dan praktik terbaik dalam menjalankan tugas sehari-hari.

Agenda dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi proses kerja melalui diskusi kelompok. Fasilitator bersama peserta memetakan alur kerja di masing-masing unit serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang sering dihadapi. Hasil diskusi diharapkan menjadi bahan evaluasi sekaligus dasar perbaikan sistem kerja.

Usai istirahat, peserta diarahkan untuk menyusun rancangan SOP sesuai bidang masing-masing. Fasilitator mendampingi proses ini agar dokumen yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan standar mutu yang berlaku. Langkah ini dinilai penting untuk menciptakan keseragaman prosedur di seluruh unit kerja FKIK Unismuh.

Hasil penyusunan SOP dari tiap kelompok kemudian dipresentasikan pada sesi akhir kegiatan. Diskusi dan masukan dari fasilitator turut memperkaya dokumen yang disusun, sehingga dapat segera diimplementasikan dalam aktivitas akademik maupun administratif fakultas.

Dengan terselenggaranya kegiatan ini, FKIK Unismuh menegaskan komitmennya untuk memperkuat sistem manajemen mutu. Penerapan SOP yang lebih terstruktur diharapkan mampu mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
