Opening of the Adopted Village:
The opening of the Adopted Village in Mandalle marked the beginning of a close collaboration between BEM FK Unismuh and the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, with the local community. The event aimed to form a sustainable partnership in enhancing the health and well-being of the community.
Health Education Activities:
BEM FK Unismuh cadres conducted informative health education sessions. Participants were provided with in-depth understanding of the importance of maintaining health, balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and disease prevention. The goal of this education was to offer practical guidance to the Mandalle Village community to improve their healthy lifestyle.
Free Health Check-ups:
In an effort to directly impact the health of the community, a medical team comprising medical students and healthcare professionals conducted free health check-ups. The Mandalle Village community could utilize these services, including blood pressure measurements, blood sugar tests, and other health assessments. The activities aimed to provide better health awareness to the residents of Mandalle Village.
In his address, [Reinaldy Aslam], Chairman of BEM FK Unismuh, stated, “Welcome to the opening of the Adopted Village. We are delighted and grateful for the enthusiasm and active participation of the Mandalle Village community. We, BEM FK Unismuh, together with the faculty leadership, are committed to making a maximum contribution to improving the health and well-being of the community.”
[Dr. Asdar Sp.B], Head of the Faculty of Medicine, Unismuh, also conveyed, “The opening of the Adopted Village is a crucial step in strengthening the relationship between the university and the community.
