Surabaya, 13-17 August 2025 – Students from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar have once again achieved a brilliant regional-level accomplishment. Two delegates from BEM FK Unismuh won the “Most Solutive Participant” award at the Advanced Level Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMM-SK) organized by the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) Region 4 in Surabaya.

The ISMKI Region 4 LKMM-SK is an advanced leadership training forum for core members of medical student organizations across Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Maluku, and Papua. This event focuses on honing participants’ abilities in issue analysis, conflict management, and the formulation of strategic solutions for various challenges in the student and health sectors.

The two FK Unismuh students who outperformed participants from various other institutions were Aditia Sawar and Putri Ramadhani. They were recognized as the most active and constructive delegates, capable of presenting the most effective and applicable solutions during discussion sessions, focus group discussions (FGDs), and crisis simulations.

“We are incredibly proud of Aditia and Putri’s achievement. This ‘Most Solutive Participant’ award proves that FK Unismuh students are not only equipped with competent medical knowledge but also with strong critical thinking and leadership skills,” said Adi Fahja Said, chairman of BEM FK Unismuh.

This success underscores that BEM FK Unismuh’s cadres have the capacity to become future leaders (“iron stock”) who can identify problems and provide accurate and targeted solutions. This achievement is expected to motivate other FK Unismuh students to continue to excel and actively contribute on both regional and national stages.

“This award is the result of our commitment to keep learning, discussing, and not being afraid to express new ideas, even under pressure. We hope the outcome of this LKMM-SK doesn’t stop at a certificate but becomes a real foundation for bringing positive change to FK Unismuh,” said one of the award recipients, Aditia Sawar.

BEM FK Unismuh is committed to continuously supporting the capacity building and leadership development of its students, ensuring they become not only competent medical professionals but also community leaders who provide effective solutions.
