FKIK UNISMUH DEAN AND GENERAL CHAIRMAN OF PP MUHAMMADIYAH LAUNCH THE CONSTRUCTION OF FKIK UNISMUH MACASSAR BUILDING
General Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP), Prof. H Haedar Nashir launched the construction of the Unismuh Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) building and inaugurated (softlounching) the Muhammadiyah Unismuh Hospital (RS) Makassar, Monday, May 16, 2022.
The inauguration of the FKIK Unismuh building was marked by pressing a button and signing an inscription by Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. KH Haedar Nashir, M.Si; accompanied by Chairman of BPH Unismuh Makassar, Rector of Unismuh Makassar, and Dean of FKIK Unismuh Makassar.
Present were the Chairperson of PP Aisyiyah, Dr Hj Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, MM, MSi, Chairperson of the Board of Higher Education of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof Lincolin Arsyad, Director of Central BPJS HR, Director of Suara Muhammadiyah Magazine, Rector of Unismuh Prof KH Ambo Asse, Chairman of BPH Unismuh, Prof Gagaring Pagalung, Dean of FKIK, Prof DR Dr Suryani As’ad, Director of PKU Muhammadiyah Unismuh Hospital, Prof DR Dr Syarifuddin Wahid, Chairman of the Hospital Board, DR H Syaiful Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Professors of Unismuh, Prof Irwan Akib and vice rectors, namely Vice Rector I, DR H Abd Rakhim Nanda, Vice Rector II, DR H Andi Sukri Syamsuri, Vice Rector III, DR Muhammad Tahir and all vice deans of FKIK and other Unismuh officials.
The launching event began with a brief explanation regarding the construction of the Unismuh Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences building by the Vice Chancellor I, DR H Abd Rakhim Nanda as well as the head of the development control.
It was explained that the construction of the FKIK building was built 13 floors with a budget of Rp. 126,766,938,000.
Abd Rakhim Nanda explained that the first floor is the parking area, hall and deknat (2nd floor), study program rooms and lecturers (3rd floor), theater classrooms with a capacity of approximately 250 people (4th floor), theater classrooms of approximately 250 people and independent classes (5th floor), independent study room (lt6), medical CSL center (lt7), laboratory (lt8), OSCE Center (lt9), midwifery and pharmacy study laboratories (lt10), nursing and pharmacy laboratories (lt11), auditorium with a capacity of 750 people (lt12) and rooftop (lt13).
Abd Rakhim Nanda also said that the 13-storey FKIK building is planned to be inaugurated on August 1, 2024 along with the end of Prof. Ambo Asse’s period as rector of Unismuh on August 8, 2024.
Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof Haedar Nashir on the occasion said PP Muhammadiyah together with Rector Prof Ambo Asse, Chairman of BPH Unismuh Makassar, Prof Gagaring Pagalung, Dean of FKIK Unismuh, Prof DR Dr Suryani As’ad, and Director of PKU Muhammadiyah Unismuh Makassar Hospital, Prof DR Dr Syarifuddin Wahid today inaugurated the PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Building and launched the construction of the FKIK Unismuh Makassar building.
Regarding the launching of the FKIK Unismuh building, Haedar said that the construction is 13 floors high. This is a new era for Unismuh and Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi where we have a medical education study program (undergraduate & professional) with A institutional accreditation.
It is said that with this FKIK, we will continue to produce doctors who serve to build health, so he should convey two things to the government through the media, namely first, let’s together with Unismuh and Muhammadiyah South Sulawesi and Muhammadiyah throughout Indonesia build more quality public health, we serve everything we have including hospitals and FKIK to improve the nation’s health.
Muhammadiyah is for the nation, Muhammadiyah is present for universal humanity without discriminating against religion, ethnicity, race, group and political choice, said Haedar.
“Muhammadiyah belongs to all for all, that is the spirit of Al-Ma,un Muhammadiyah through PKU Muhammadiyah Unismuh Hospital and FKIK Unismuh,” said Prof. Haedar Nashir.
Second, Medical and Health Sciences Education with all study programs in Unismuh and Muhammadiyah universities is present to improve the quality of human resources.
Prof. Haedar admitted that he was honest in saying that in terms of competitiveness, Indonesia is still below other Asean countries and with this condition Muhammadiyah wants to boost this condition. Prof. Haedar believes that both in South Sulawesi and throughout the country to remote areas, our nation’s children have good human resource potential but need facilities and an education system that can improve their competitiveness, quality to advance.
