Palembang, July 26, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh) proudly announces that two of its students, Reinaldy Aslam, S.Ked., and Muh Faiz Aslam Nur, S.Ked., have successfully secured 1st Runner-Up in the Debate Competition held as part of the Annual Meeting of the Muhammadiyah Medical & Health Education Association (APKKM). This prestigious event took place in Palembang from July 24-26, 2025.

This achievement is concrete proof of the remarkable dedication, hard work, and academic ability of both students, as well as FK Unismuh’s commitment to producing high-quality and highly competitive graduates. This debate competition served as an important platform for students to hone their critical thinking, analytical, and rhetorical skills in presenting arguments related to important issues in the fields of medicine and health.

The Vice Dean III of FK Unismuh, dr. Asdar, Sp.B, expressed his appreciation. “We are very proud of Reinaldy and Faiz’s accomplishment. This is the result of their hard work and the full support from the faculty. This achievement shows that our students are capable of competing at the national level and possess strong intellectual capacity. Hopefully, this will serve as an inspiration for the entire academic community of FK Unismuh.”

Echoing this sentiment, the Head of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FK Unismuh, Adi Fahja Said, also expressed his pride. “The achievement by Brother Reinaldy and Brother Faiz is an extraordinary accomplishment that makes all FK Unismuh students proud. It proves that the spirit of collaboration and academic excellence in our environment continues to grow. We hope this success will trigger even more innovation and achievements from our students in the future.”
