Ikhwandi Chandra Nugraha, student of the Medical Education Study Program, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar, made Indonesia proud on the international stage. He was selected as a delegate in the International Project Presentation and Seminar organized by Global Education Chapter 2 at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, at the end of May 2024.

This event is a forum for students from various countries to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding educational innovation. Ikhwandi, who is familiarly called Ikhwan, was selected after going through a series of strict selections, including file selection, general knowledge tests, essay writing and team project development.

In this event, Ikhwandi presented his project entitled Adhikaraseva with the tag line “Learning To Grow”. This project focuses on increasing secondary school students’ participation in international exchange programs through workshops, campaigns, and mentoring.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity. “The experience of studying at Chulalongkorn University and interacting with students from various countries is very valuable for my personal development,” said Ikhwandi when contacted via WhatsApp, Friday, June 14 2024.

Ikhwandi hopes that his experience can inspire other students to dare to leave their comfort zone and pursue international opportunities. He is also committed to developing the Adhikaraseva project in Makassar, involving local high school students to increase their participation in student exchange programs.

“I want to contribute to the progress of education in Indonesia. “By broadening our horizons and international networks, I am sure that Indonesia’s young generation can become agents of change who have a positive impact on society,” he added

The Dean of FKIK Unismuh, Prof. Suryani As’ad, is also proud of Ikhwandi’s achievements. She stated that his party would continue to support students to excel at national and international levels

“Ikhwandi’s achievements are proof that Unismuh students have extraordinary potential. “We will continue to facilitate students to develop themselves and make Unismuh proud on the global stage,” he said.
