MAKASSAR — PHINISI Quiz 2025, an annual scientific competition organized by the Department of Pulmonology, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University (FK Unhas), once again presented a prestigious academic challenge for medical students across Indonesia. The competition tested participants’ knowledge through multiple-choice questions and case studies on pulmonary diseases.

A total of 35 teams from various medical faculties throughout Indonesia took part in the preliminary round, competing fiercely for a place in the final. The team from Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar stood out from the beginning, thanks to the intensive preparation led by Dr. Andi Muhammad Sultan Pasha—a general practitioner and clinical teaching staff at Unismuh. He guided the team through in-depth sessions on pulmonology topics, case study practices, and strategies for answering quiz questions under time pressure.

Due to their thorough preparation and strong guidance, the Unismuh team advanced to the final round as one of the top five teams, earning the second-highest preliminary score after FK Unhas.

The final round of the PHINISI Quiz 2025 was held on July 18, 2025, at the Phinisi Ballroom, Claro Hotel & Convention Makassar—a grand venue in a four-star hotel capable of accommodating thousands of participants. The final brought together top teams from FK Unhas, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Pattimura University, Lambung Mangkurat University (Unlam), and Unismuh.

During the final session, the Unismuh team showed strong performance and initially dominated in answering questions. However, several challenging questions slightly lowered their point tally. Despite this, Unismuh secured 3rd place, outperforming UGM (4th place) and Pattimura University (5th place). FK Unhas took 2nd place, while Unlam finished in 5th.

“We prepared thoroughly and gave our best. This result serves as valuable feedback for us, and we will continue to evaluate and improve as we prepare for future competitions,” said a representative from the Unismuh team.

This achievement reflects the commitment and capability of Unismuh students to compete at the national level and serves as a motivation to further develop their potential in the field of medicine.

MAKASSAR — PHINISI Quiz 2025, ajang kompetisi ilmiah tahunan yang diselenggarakan oleh Departemen Pulmonologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Hasanuddin (FK Unhas), kembali menghadirkan tantangan akademik bergengsi bagi mahasiswa kedokteran se-Indonesia. Kompetisi ini menguji pengetahuan melalui soal pilihan ganda serta studi kasus penyakit paru.

Sebanyak 35 tim dari berbagai fakultas kedokteran di Indonesia mengikuti babak penyisihan dan bersaing ketat untuk memperebutkan tiket menuju babak final. Tim dari Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Makassar tampil impresif sejak awal, berkat persiapan intensif yang dipimpin oleh dr. Andi Muhammad Sultan Pasha—dokter umum sekaligus dosen magang di Unismuh. Ia secara khusus membimbing tim melalui sesi pendalaman materi pulmonologi, latihan studi kasus, dan strategi menjawab soal di bawah tekanan waktu.

Berkat bimbingan dan latihan matang, tim Unismuh berhasil menembus babak final sebagai salah satu dari lima finalis terbaik, bahkan meraih skor awal tertinggi kedua setelah tim FK Unhas.

Babak final PHINISI Quiz 2025 digelar pada 18 Juli 2025 di Ballroom Phinisi, Claro Hotel & Convention Makassar—ruang mewah berkapasitas ribuan orang yang menjadi saksi sengitnya persaingan antara tim-tim unggulan dari FK Unhas, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Pattimura, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (Unlam), dan Unismuh.

Dalam sesi final, tim Unismuh sempat mendominasi dalam menjawab berbagai pertanyaan. Namun, beberapa soal yang menantang membuat perolehan poin tim sedikit menurun. Meski demikian, Unismuh berhasil meraih posisi ke-3, mengungguli UGM (peringkat 4) dan Universitas Pattimura (peringkat 5). FK Unhas, tuan rumah kompetisi, berada di posisi ke-2, sementara Unlam harus puas di posisi ke-5.

“Kami sudah mempersiapkan diri dengan matang dan memberikan yang terbaik. Hasil ini menjadi bahan evaluasi penting bagi kami, dan kami akan terus berbenah untuk menghadapi kompetisi mendatang dengan lebih siap,” ujar perwakilan tim Unismuh.

Prestasi ini menunjukkan komitmen dan kapasitas mahasiswa Unismuh dalam bersaing di level nasional, serta menjadi motivasi untuk terus mengembangkan potensi di bidang ilmu kedokteran
