Makassar — The Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar), held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Evaluation of the Learning Process for the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year and Preparation for the Learning Process for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

Held on September 4–5, 2026, in the Meeting Room of FKIK Unismuh Makassar, the activity was part of the Master’s Program’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the learning process is implemented effectively, systematically, and sustainably.

The FGD served as an important forum for evaluating the implementation of learning activities during the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, while also discussing preparations for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. The evaluation covered various aspects of the academic process, including the implementation of lectures, the achievement of learning outcomes, the engagement of lecturers and students, as well as areas requiring further improvement in the upcoming semester.

The Dean of FKIK Unismuh Makassar, Prof. Dr. dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K)., SUbsp.KM(K), emphasized that the evaluation of the learning process is an essential component of maintaining and continuously improving the quality of education within the faculty.

“The evaluation of the learning process is not merely a routine activity; it is an integral part of FKIK Unismuh Makassar’s commitment to ensuring that every academic process is carried out in accordance with quality standards and provides students with the best possible learning experience. The results of this evaluation should serve as a foundation for continuous improvement and innovation in the following semester.”

She further emphasized that thorough preparation for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year is essential to ensure that all academic components are adequately prepared to support the achievement of graduate competencies.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences, Dr. dr. Ami Febriza Achmad, M.Kes, stated that the FGD provided a strategic platform for the study program to review the implementation of the learning process and collectively formulate appropriate measures for improvement.

“Through this FGD, we aim to objectively identify which aspects of the learning process have been implemented effectively and which areas still require improvement during the Second Semester. The results of this evaluation will serve as a foundation for preparing the learning process for the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year so that it can be more structured, effective, and responsive to students’ needs as well as developments in biomedical sciences.”

She added that the involvement of various stakeholders in the evaluation process is essential to ensuring comprehensive and well-informed decision-making. Feedback from lecturers and students serves as an important consideration in the continuous development of the learning process within the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences.

The FGD was also aimed at strengthening internal coordination within the study program, aligning learning plans, and ensuring the readiness of various academic components prior to the commencement of the First Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year.

Through this activity, the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences at FKIK Unismuh Makassar continues to strengthen its commitment to continuous evaluation, quality improvement, and academic excellence, while ensuring that the learning process remains responsive to the needs of students and the ongoing development of biomedical sciences.

FGD Magister Ilmu Biomedik FKIK Unismuh Makassar Evaluasi Pembelajaran dan Siapkan Perkuliahan Semester Ganjil 2026/2027

Makassar — Program Studi Magister Ilmu Biomedik Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar) menggelar Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Evaluasi Proses Pembelajaran Semester Genap Tahun Akademik 2025/2026 dan Persiapan Pembelajaran Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2026/2027.

Kegiatan yang berlangsung pada 4–5 September 2026 tersebut bertempat di Ruang Rapat FKIK Unismuh Makassar, dan menjadi bagian dari upaya Program Studi Magister Ilmu Biomedik dalam memastikan proses pembelajaran berjalan secara efektif, terarah, dan berkelanjutan.

FGD ini menjadi momentum untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran selama Semester Genap 2025/2026, sekaligus membahas berbagai persiapan menghadapi Semester Ganjil 2026/2027. Evaluasi mencakup berbagai aspek proses akademik, termasuk pelaksanaan perkuliahan, capaian pembelajaran, keterlibatan dosen dan mahasiswa, serta hal-hal yang perlu ditingkatkan pada periode pembelajaran berikutnya.

Dekan FKIK Unismuh Makassar, Prof. Dr. dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K)., SUbsp.KM(K) menegaskan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan bagian penting dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di lingkungan fakultas.

“Evaluasi proses pembelajaran tidak hanya menjadi kegiatan rutin, tetapi merupakan bagian dari komitmen FKIK Unismuh Makassar untuk memastikan setiap proses akademik berjalan sesuai standar mutu dan mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar yang terbaik bagi mahasiswa. Hasil evaluasi ini harus menjadi dasar untuk melakukan perbaikan dan inovasi pada semester berikutnya.”

Menurutnya, persiapan pembelajaran Semester Ganjil 2026/2027 juga perlu dilakukan secara matang agar seluruh komponen akademik memiliki kesiapan yang sama dalam mendukung pencapaian kompetensi lulusan.

Sementara itu, Kaprodi Magister Ilmu Biomedik, Dr. dr. Ami Febriza Achmad, M.Kes, menyampaikan bahwa FGD menjadi ruang strategis bagi program studi untuk melihat kembali pelaksanaan pembelajaran sekaligus menyusun langkah perbaikan secara bersama-sama.

“Melalui FGD ini, kami ingin melihat secara objektif apa yang telah berjalan dengan baik dan apa saja yang masih perlu diperbaiki selama proses pembelajaran Semester Genap. Hasil evaluasi tersebut kemudian kami jadikan pijakan untuk mempersiapkan pembelajaran Semester Ganjil 2026/2027 agar lebih terstruktur, efektif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa serta perkembangan ilmu biomedik.”

Ia menambahkan bahwa keterlibatan berbagai unsur dalam proses evaluasi sangat penting untuk menghasilkan keputusan yang komprehensif. Masukan dari dosen maupun mahasiswa menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam pengembangan proses pembelajaran di Program Studi Magister Ilmu Biomedik.

FGD juga diarahkan untuk memperkuat koordinasi internal program studi, menyelaraskan rencana pembelajaran, serta memastikan kesiapan berbagai perangkat akademik sebelum dimulainya Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2026/2027.
