FKIK Unismuh Medical Education Study Program– The Indonesian Private Medical Faculty Association (AFKSI) is an organization that gathers all private medical faculties throughout Indonesia. Until now, there are at least 51 private medical faculty institutions in Indonesia.

The 2022 AFKSI XXI National Conference (Munas) took place on July 1-3, 2022. The host was the Faculty of Medicine of Al-Azhar Islamic University (FK UNIZAR) Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. A total of 49 private faculties attended the National Conference, with 206 delegates.

The theme of MUNAS XXI AFKSI 2022 is Back to the basic, Heart-Based Education as a fundamental aspect in medical education. Dean of FK UNIZAR, Dr. dr. H. Artha Budi Susila Duarsa, M.Kes in his speech said that medical services must be based on conscience, not only educating and educating in “knowledge” but also building “soft skills” and conscience awareness of students and the entire academic community with a spirit of empathy and love.

The agenda of the 2022 AFKSI XXI National Conference included an honorary lecture by Prof. dr. H. Jurnalis Uddin, PAK as one of the founders of AFKSI. The AFKSI 2022 National Conference was coupled with a Panel Discussion on Bioethics and Professionalism in Medical Education, as well as the Strategic Position of Tourism Health in Indonesia. No less important agenda is the Clinical Skill Lab (CSL) Workshop for CSL instructors and related Laboratory Education Personnel. FKIK Unismuh itself sent 5 educational staff delegates to the Clinical Skill Laboratory Workshop agenda. In the chairman election agenda, the Dean of FK UNIZAR, Dr. dr. H. Artha Budi Susila Duarsa, M.Kes was elected as Chairman of PB AFKSI for the 2022-2025 Period.
