The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University (FK UNISMUH) and the Leadership of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UNISMUH are committed to dealing with health problems in Mangeloreng Village, Bantimurung District, Maros Regency. This commitment was realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday, May 26 2024, at the Mangeloreng Village Hall.

Chairman of BEM FK UNISMUH, Muhammad Faisal, explained that the Assisted Village program will include various community service activities, ranging from health checks and disease screening to promotive, preventive education, as well as empowerment of cadres, youth groups and the elderly.

“We hope that this activity can increase the transformation of primary services for the Mangeloreng community and become a learning field for students,” said Faisal.

Head of the Mangeloreng Village Government Section, Sirajuddin, welcomed this initiative. He expressed his gratitude for the attention of BEM FK UNISMUH and FKIK UNISMUH to the health of the Mangeloreng community. “Hopefully this program will have a broad impact and bring blessings to all of us,” said Sirajuddin.

Dean of FKIK Unismuh, Prof. Dr. Dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc, Sp.GK (K), emphasized his commitment to fully support this activity. “We will ensure that this program runs sustainably and provides real benefits for the people of Mangeloreng,” he said.

This MoU includes various planned activities, including free health examinations, free treatment, health education, health counseling and health cadre training. All of these activities aim to improve the health status of the people of Mangeloreng Village.

The MoU signing event closed with a group photo and friendly gathering between students, FKIK leaders, and the people of Mangeloreng Village. It is hoped that this collaboration can bring significant positive changes to the health of the people of Mangeloreng Village.
