MUHAMMAD RISQULLAH AMMAR, OUTSTANDING GRADUATE OF FKIK UNISMUH MAKASSAR, BECOMES THE BEST GRADUATE OF THE UNIVERSITY

Prof. Ambo Asse, the Rector of Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar, presented awards to nine outstanding male and female graduates at the faculty and postgraduate level. The awards were given during the 79th graduation ceremony of Unismuh, held at the Muktamar Hall, Unismuh Makassar Campus, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

The awardees include Muhammad Risqullah Ammar (Medical Education Program, FKIK) from Gowa with a GPA of 3.54, Irmawati (Islamic Education Program, FAI) from Bone with a GPA of 3.86.

Frimansyah (Accounting Program, FEB) from Wajo with a GPA of 3.76, Nurul Asyifa Krama (Early Childhood Education Program, FKIP) from Gowa with a GPA of 3.66. St. Nur Amalia (Water Resources Engineering Program, FT) from Gowa with a GPA of 3.90.

Ulfiah Syukri (Public Administration Program, FISIP) from Barru with a GPA of 4.00, Risal (Agrotechnology Program) from Gowa with a GPA of 3.90.

The best graduate from the Postgraduate Program is Abd Rahman BP (Masters in Sociology Education, PPs) from Gowa with a GPA of 3.96, and Drs. HM Arfah Bas’ha (Ph.D. in Islamic Education, PPs) from Selayar with a GPA of 3.3.

Among the nine outstanding graduates at the faculty level, three best graduates at the university level were announced. The first-best graduate is Ulfiah Syukri from the Public Administration Program. The second-best graduate is Muhammad Risqullah Ammar from the Medical Education Program, and the third-best graduate is Irmawati from the Islamic Education Program.

After presenting the awards, Prof. Ambo Asse congratulated and wished success to the graduates, particularly those who achieved outstanding accomplishments. He hoped that the knowledge they acquired would be blessed and beneficial when applied and developed for the sake of religion and humanity.

Prof. Ambo Asse also expressed gratitude to the parents of the graduates, saying, “To the parents of the graduates, I want to convey that today’s graduates have generally shown achievements and possess intellectual potential in their respective fields. They are worth further development in higher education,” said Prof. Ambo.

Profile of the Best Graduate from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University Makassar

Muhammad Risqullah Ammar, the second-best graduate of Unismuh Makassar and an outstanding graduate of FKIK Unismuh Makassar, is the child of Major Arm. Syafaruddin and Aminah. He completed his primary education at SDN 1 Maccini Makassar, continued to SMPN 4 Sungguminasa Gowa, and attended SMA Negeri 2 Majene, West Sulawesi, for his secondary education.

Since childhood, Ammar aspired to become a doctor, and he chose to pursue higher education in the Medical Education Program at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Unismuh Makassar. For him, becoming an excellent and Islamic doctor is part of his personal and family aspirations.

During his studies, Ammar was highly active in both academic and non-academic fields, particularly in organizations. In the academic field, he served as a Teaching Assistant in the Physiology Department for 2 years and participated in competitions such as the Indonesian Medical Physiology Olympiad at FK Unair Surabaya, the Indonesian Medical Online Championship, and won second place in the Orthopedic and Traumatology Case Presentation at FK Unhas. He also participated in a student exchange program at Asia University, Taiwan, and actively assisted the international accreditation team of ASIIN at FKIK Unismuh.

In the non-academic field, he engaged in various organizational and student activities. Internally at the campus, he was actively involved in BEM FK Unismuh as the Chairman, IMM FK Unismuh as the Research and Scientific Development Division Head, and went through the cadetship up to the level of Darul Arqam Madya. He also became a member of the scientific institution MARC FK Unismuh.

Outside the campus, he served as a member of the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) IDI South Sulawesi, a member of the National Young Leaders Forum of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, and was entrusted as the Secretary of the Social Development and Community Empowerment Division of IMM Branch Kota Makassar.

In terms of internationalization efforts, he actively participated in the Global Goals Youth Summit 2023 in Malaysia as a Global Goals Youth Action Ambassador, served as a delegate for the Asia University Student Exchange, ranked among the top 5 participants in the International Youth SDGs Leaders Week in Korea, and participated as a delegate in the Asia Youth Action Summit in Jakarta.

Furthermore, he engaged in volunteer work, serving as part of the IDI South Sulawesi emergency response team, the stunting task force team, the flood health team in Makassar, a COVID-19 vaccinator volunteer at FKIK Unismuh Makassar, a COVID volunteer for the Ministry of Education and Culture, and more.

For him, the more we have, the more we can share and contribute to others’ well-being. This does not diminish his academic enthusiasm, as he successfully completed his Medical Education studies in 3 years and 6 months with a Cum Laude distinction and a GPA of 3.54.

As an outstanding graduate, he hopes to become an even better person and contribute to the advancement of those around him, ultimately making the country, particularly Muhammadiyah University Makassar, progress.
