Makassar, 05 November 2023 – Ar-Razi Medical Event (ARME) successfully unfolded its curtains at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (Unismuh) in Makassar. This event, designed to delve into the realms of scientific knowledge and healthcare, showcased an array of activities that highlighted the commitment of the academic community to foster innovation and awareness.
One of the main highlights of ARME was the Poster Publik competition themed “Nutritional Aspect as Agent of Innovation for Empowerment and Prevention.” This engaging competition saw the participation of six dedicated teams, with four teams hailing from the medical education program and two from the pharmacy program. The event aimed to encourage creative thinking and research in the crucial intersection of nutrition, innovation, empowerment, and disease prevention.
The competition provided a platform for students to visually communicate their findings, theories, and solutions. The diverse backgrounds of the participating teams added richness to the discussions, as medical and pharmacy students collaborated to explore holistic approaches to health challenges.
The esteemed panel of judges, comprising seasoned professionals and academics in the field, assessed the posters based on scientific merit, creativity, and practical applicability. The winning teams not only earned recognition for their efforts but also contributed valuable insights to the broader scientific community.
Complementing the Poster Publik competition was a thought-provoking Scientific Seminar titled “Navigating: The World of Journals: Unraveling Insights and Best Practices.” Dr. Liya Hafiyani, M.Pharm.Sc., Ph.D., a distinguished faculty member from the Department of Pharmacology at Universitas Hasanuddin, captivated the audience with her expertise. The seminar provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the intricacies of academic journals, offering insights into the publication process and sharing best practices for successful scholarly contributions.
Moreover, ARME incorporated an Exhibition that featured the works of MARC (Medical and Allied Health Research Club) executives who excelled as finalists in various competitions. This showcase not only celebrated the achievements of these talented individuals but also inspired fellow students to explore their potential and actively engage in research and competitions.
ARME 2023 successfully created a vibrant atmosphere of intellectual exchange and collaboration within the academic community of FKIK Unismuh Makassar. By combining competitions, seminars, and exhibitions, the event underscored the importance of holistic approaches to healthcare challenges and the pivotal role of research in shaping the future of medicine and health sciences.
