MAKASSAR – The Midwifery Professional Education Program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, has officially been awarded Exbcelblent Accreditation by the Indonesian Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). The accreditation was conferred through Decree No. 0395/LAM-PTKes/bAkr/Dip/VI/2026.

The Excellent Accreditation serves as formal recognition of the program’s excellence in academic governance, human resources, competency-based curriculum, teaching and learning processes, educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, all of which meet the national quality standards for health higher education in Indonesia.

This achievement further reinforces the positive momentum of FMHS Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar in advancing academic excellence. Following the recent success of the Diploma III (D-III) Nursing Program, which also earned Excellent Accreditation from LAM-PTKes, the Midwifery Professional Education Program has now attained the same prestigious distinction. These consecutive accomplishments reflect the faculty’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of quality through strengthened institutional governance, continuous enhancement of teaching and learning, human resource development, and the sustainable implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K), expressed her sincere appreciation to all members of the academic community, the accreditation task force, faculty members, administrative staff, students, alumni, and institutional partners for their dedication and collaborative efforts throughout the accreditation preparation and on-site assessment process, which ultimately led to this outstanding achievement.

She emphasized that the accreditation result is the product of collective commitment and sustained collaboration in cultivating a robust quality assurance culture within the faculty. According to her, Excellent Accreditation is not only a recognition of the program’s educational excellence but also a motivation for FMHS Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar to continuously enhance the quality of education, research, community engagement, and academic services in order to produce competent, ethical, and globally competitive healthcare professionals.

Prior to the accreditation decision, the Undergraduate Midwifery Program and the Midwifery Professional Education Program underwent a comprehensive on-site assessment conducted by the LAM-PTKes assessment team as part of the national accreditation process. The evaluation covered various aspects, including institutional governance, academic quality, faculty competence, educational outcomes, and the adequacy of supporting educational facilities and infrastructure. With the attainment of Excellent Accreditation by the Midwifery Professional Education Program, FMHS Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar further strengthens its position as a leading institution for health sciences education committed to delivering high-quality, nationally recognized academic programs. This accomplishment also serves as an impetus for all academic programs within the faculty to continuously pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to the development of highly qualified healthcare professionals capable of addressing the evolving needs of society and supporting the advancement of Indonesia’s healthcare system.

Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Bidan Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar Meraih Akreditasi Unggul dari LAM-PTKes

MAKASSAR – Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar kembali mencatatkan prestasi membanggakan. Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Bidan resmi meraih predikat Akreditasi Unggul dari Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Pendidikan Tinggi Kesehatan Indonesia (LAM-PTKes). Capaian tersebut ditetapkan melalui Surat Keputusan Nomor 0395/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Dip/VI/2026.

Predikat Akreditasi Unggul menjadi pengakuan atas kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan profesi yang mencakup tata kelola, sumber daya manusia, kurikulum, proses pembelajaran, sarana dan prasarana, serta pelaksanaan tridarma perguruan tinggi yang memenuhi standar mutu pendidikan tinggi kesehatan di Indonesia.

Keberhasilan ini sekaligus melanjutkan tren positif yang tengah diraih FKIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Setelah sebelumnya Program Studi D-III Keperawatan berhasil memperoleh predikat Akreditasi Unggul dari LAM-PTKes, kini Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Bidan menyusul meraih predikat tertinggi yang sama. Capaian tersebut menunjukkan konsistensi FKIK Unismuh Makassar dalam membangun budaya mutu di berbagai program studi melalui penguatan tata kelola, peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, pengembangan sumber daya manusia, serta implementasi tridarma perguruan tinggi secara berkelanjutan.

Dekan FKIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar, Prof. Dr. dr. Suryani As’ad, M.Sc., Sp.GK(K), menyampaikan apresiasi kepada seluruh sivitas akademika, tim akreditasi, dosen, tenaga kependidikan, mahasiswa, alumni, serta mitra yang telah memberikan kontribusi selama proses persiapan hingga asesmen lapangan sehingga Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Bidan berhasil meraih predikat Akreditasi Unggul.

Menurutnya, capaian tersebut merupakan hasil kerja keras dan kolaborasi seluruh elemen fakultas dalam mewujudkan budaya mutu yang berkelanjutan. Predikat Akreditasi Unggul tidak hanya menjadi sebuah pengakuan atas kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan, tetapi juga menjadi motivasi bagi FKIK Unismuh Makassar untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, penelitian, pengabdian kepada masyarakat, serta pelayanan akademik demi menghasilkan lulusan yang profesional, unggul, dan berdaya saing.

Sebelumnya, Program Studi Sarjana Kebidanan dan Pendidikan Profesi Bidan FKIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar telah menjalani asesmen lapangan oleh tim asesor LAM-PTKes sebagai bagian dari proses penilaian mutu. Asesmen tersebut mencakup evaluasi terhadap berbagai aspek, mulai dari tata kelola program studi, kualitas pembelajaran, kompetensi dosen, luaran pendidikan, hingga sarana dan prasarana pendukung. Dengan diraihnya Akreditasi Unggul oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Bidan, FKIK Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar semakin memperkokoh posisinya sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi kesehatan yang berkomitmen menghadirkan pendidikan berkualitas dan berstandar nasional. Keberhasilan ini juga menjadi dorongan bagi seluruh program studi di lingkungan FKIK untuk terus meningkatkan mutu akademik dan memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mencetak tenaga kesehatan profesional yang siap menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat serta mendukung pembangunan kesehatan di Indonesia.
