Student at the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar Become a Delegate to the 2024 Global Youth Summit
A student at the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, Miftahulfahra Maulani Indri, was a delegate to the Global Youth Summit held in Singapore and Malaysia from April 22-25, 2024. At this event, she also won an award as the first-place winner in the SDGs Project Video category.
This award was given for Miftahulfahra’s contribution to building awareness about environmental health through the video project presented in the competition. The project discussed environmental health issues, reflecting a commitment to overcoming global challenges through innovation and the courage to act.
The 2024 Global Youth Summit is not just a competition but also a platform that allows participants to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative ideas. Additionally, this event included visits to various universities, including the University of Malaya, providing participants the opportunity to expand their networks and gain new insights in the academic sphere.
Miftahulfahra Maulani Indri said, “Participation in the 2024 Global Youth Summit was an extraordinary experience for me. I am very grateful for the support provided by the University, especially the leadership of FKIK Unismuh. This success is not only mine but is also the result of cooperation and support from various parties.”
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, Prof. Dr. Dr. Suryani As’ad, Sp.GK (K), welcomed Miftahulfahra’s achievements. He stated, “Achievements like this show the dedication and commitment of our students in facing global challenges. We are proud of Miftahulfahra’s achievements and her enthusiasm for spreading awareness of environmental health issues.”
Miftah hopes that this success can inspire all students at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, especially those in the Faculty of Medicine, to continue excelling and making positive contributions to society and the environment.
