The Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin held a scientific seminar and presentation competition for orthopaedic and traumatology cases or materials for medical faculty students throughout Makassar at the Prof. A. Amiruddin Auditorium, Faculty of Medicine.

This activity was attended by 226 participants, with 6 teams participating in the presentation competition.
The seminar activity was first opened with remarks from Dr. dr. Andi Alfian Zainuddin, MKM. who represented the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin, followed by opening material by Prof. Dr. dr. Idrus Paturusi, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K), and strung together various materials that have been adjusted to the Indonesian Doctors Competency Standards (SKDI).
Material on bone infection by DR. dr. Karya Triko Biakto, MARS, Sp.OT (K) Spine, presentation on Sports Injury by DR. dr. Muhammad Sakti, Sp.OT (K), presentation on Orthopaedic Pelvis and Knee by dr. Muh. Andry Usman, Ph.D, Sp. OT (K), presentation on Spine Orthopaedics by dr. Jainal Arifin, M. Kes, Sp.OT (K) Spine, presentation on Tumor Orthopaedics by dr. Notinas Horas, M.Kes, Sp.OT, and Presentation on Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopaedics by dr. Andi Dhedie P. Sam, M.Kes, Sp.OT (K).
After the seminar series was completed, followed by a presentation competition in the field of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, this competition consisted of all medical faculty teams in Makassar, namely FK UNISMUH, FK UNHAS, FK UMI, FK UNIBOS and FK UIN Alauddin Makassar.
The General Chairperson of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FK UNISMUH, Muhammad Risqullah Ammar became a delegate at the competition and raised the presentation topic “Osteoarthritis Genu” and after undergoing the judging phase, FK UNISMUH won Best III Presentation Competition in Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
“Alhamdulillah, this is a great opportunity and a gratitude to be the third best, this is inseparable from the prayers and support of parents as well as our supervisor, Dr. Asri Abidin, Sp.OT who has taken the time to share his knowledge. Hopefully we can maximize this achievement and be able to practice the knowledge we have for usefulness, “said the Head of BEM FK UNISMUH, Muhammad Risqullah Ammar.
This activity was then closed solemnly, a group photo session and book distribution by Prof.Dr.dr. A. Indrus Paturusi, Sp.B, Sp.OT (K).
