Prepare Doctors with Character, IMM FK Unismuh Holds a National Webinar
Commissariat (Pikom) Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) Faculty of Medicine (FK) Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar held a National Webinar for Muhammadiyah Islamic Association Doctors (DOPAMIN) with the theme “Caring for the Nation, Fostering Civilization”, Saturday (6/11/2021) through Zoom Meetings.
This activity aims to prepare Muhammadiyah Doctors who have good morals based on SKKDM (Competency Standards and Characteristics of Muhammadiyah Doctors) and are competent according to SKDI (Indonesian Doctors Competency Standards) in facing the Disruption Era. The webinar was attended by hundreds of participants from various campuses throughout Indonesia, especially Unismuh.
The Dean of FKIK Unismuh Makassar, Suryani As’ad explained in her remarks that the theme raised meant that doctors as human beings have a noble duty to play a role in human rights, especially health.
It is important to continue to contribute to presenting solutions so that our role as Muhammadiyah doctors continues to exist in carrying out humanitarian tasks. All of these things are internalized with concrete steps that can make a positive contribution to Muhammadiyah medical education,” he said.
In addition, E. M. Sutrisna as Chairperson of APKKM, the importance of strengthening the character of cadres through the conducted Webinars. “The existence of Muhammadiyah Competency and Character Standards (SKKDM) is part of the educational curriculum which aims to produce cadres who are progressive by becoming learners, pious practitioners and fighters as stated in the 9 years of Muhammadiyah’s golden habbits. This is of course combined with the Indonesian Doctors Competency Standards (SKDI) so that graduates become professional and competent,” he explained.
Finally, the General Chair of the IMM FK Unismuh Pikom, Muh Wahyu Ahmad Habibi advised that the containers provided could be shared and contributed to humanity. “Muhammadiyah has always contributed a lot to humanity, therefore it is hoped that there will be a gathering place for Muhammadiyah cadres, especially in the fields of health and medicine so that this bond can be used to jointly contribute to humanity by uniting ideas,” he concluded.
