Three students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar have achieved a remarkable milestone by securing 2nd place in the Public Poster Competition at the Warmadewa Aesculapius Scientific Competition 2024, held by KIAS FKIK Universitas Warmadewa, Denpasar, Bali, from June 27-30, 2024. The team, consisting of Alfiyyah Mawaddah,Shofiyyah Lathifah, and Yusrina Ramadhani S, earned the runner-up position after outperforming 12 finalist teams from renowned universities across Indonesia.

This prestigious scientific competition was organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Warmadewa University, providing a platform for medical students to showcase their scientific capabilities. This year’s theme, “Travel-Related Infectious Diseases,” is particularly relevant in the era of increasing global mobility. The competition featured several categories, including literature review, public poster, scientific essay, and educational video, all focused on travel-related infectious diseases.

During the public poster presentation session, the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar team demonstrated exceptional skills in clearly and convincingly explaining their ideas. Their excellent mastery of the subject and high confidence captivated the judges, earning them high scores and securing 2nd place in the public poster category.
