A grand and meaningful atmosphere adorned the Phinisi Ballroom at Hotel Claro Makassar on January 23, 2024. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at Muhammadiyah University (UNISMUH) Makassar celebrated the graduation of its students in an event that not only marked a historic milestone but also touched the hearts of the graduates, attendees, including faculty, family, and friends.

Dean of FKIK, Prof. Suryani, kicked off the event with enthusiasm and hope for the future of the graduates. The Phinisi Ballroom, with its grandeur, bore witness to this historic event.

The series of events began with the Doctor’s oath-taking, symbolically binding each graduate to the significant responsibility of practicing their profession. Shortly after, the taking of the Bachelor of Medicine oath strengthened the major step in their academic journey. The oath-taking for Midwives was an integral part, signifying their commitment to the field of midwifery. The graduation of the Pharmacy study program also took the spotlight, showcasing the diversity of disciplines mastered by the graduates.

The number of participants in the graduation ceremony reflected the high enthusiasm of FKIK UNISMUH Makassar students. The Bachelor of Medicine study program was attended by 9 graduates, while the Medical Doctor study program had 43 participants. Midwifery had 16 participants, and Pharmacy was attended by 2 graduates ready to step into the professional world.

In her message to the graduates, Dean Prof. Suryani conveyed words full of inspiration and motivation. She reminded the graduates to uphold ethics and integrity as they embark on their crucial roles in the healthcare field.
